In the last few years, two of the projects we open sourced at Gruntwork have grown more and more popular:
- Terragrunt: a tool for keeping your Terraform code DRY and maintainable.
- Terratest: a Go library for writing automated tests for infrastructure code, including Terraform, Packer, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and more.
Thousands of developers and companies are using these tools every day to manage and test their infrastructure, and the number of users, questions, GitHub issues, and pull requests is growing every month:
We want to keep investing in these tools, but as a small team, we’re struggling to balance:
- The time we spend on open source projects.
- The time we spend on our paid products.
So we got to thinking that maybe, just maybe, these two desires don’t have to be at odds with each other. I’m excited to announce today that we are now offering Commercial Support for both Terragrunt and Terratest!
Here’s what it includes:
- Support: Get help from the creators of Terragrunt and Terratest via email, chat (private shared Slack channel), and phone/video (scheduled Zoom calls). SLAs available.
- Code reviews: Add the Gruntwork team to your pull requests to get your infrastructure code reviewed by a team of DevOps experts. SLAs available.
- Prioritized bug fixes: If you find bugs in Terragrunt or Terratest, we guarantee that we will start working on a fix within an agreed-upon time frame.
- Prioritized features: If you request a new feature (improvement) for Terragrunt or Terratest, we guarantee that we will start working on that new feature within an agreed-upon time frame. Note that this only applies to features that are small (can be built within some agreed-upon time frame, such as N business days) and generic (the feature must be useful to the majority of Terragrunt and Terratest users).
If your company relies on Terragrunt or Terratest in production, you can now get help directly from the team that created these tools, and make sure you’re never blocked. And as a wonderful side benefit, we use your funds to support these open source tools and make them better for everyone.
